Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet Rich Plasma also has a long history in the treatment of surgical recovery, bone cancer, ulcers, and torn ligaments, and there have been reported successes in a large variety of other conditions. We use platelet rich plasma to rejuvenate and heal your skin.
Pro athletes have been receiving PRP injections in their joints, tendons, ligaments, and muscles for nearly two decades. Many elite athletes have used PRP therapy for sports injuries to recover faster and avoid surgery. Today, some professional sports teams' training rooms contain a centrifuge. The use of PRP is FDA approved and totally safe, without side effects, since it's your own body's natural healing products that are used. PRP can heal the skin with the body's natural powers of rejuvenation and we have been using it with great success in our office.

How PRP Works

A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm. The blood is placed in a centrifuge and spun so that it separates. After 15 minutes, we take the PRP from the centrifuge and inject it into the skin.

The platelet-rich plasma stimulates new collagen to form at the injection site because it is enriched with platelets and proteins that stimulate growth. Essentially, the plasma and growth factors begin making new blood vessels and new collagen. The use of your own body's natural growth factors and other healing and rejuvenating products may astound you!

Because this process involves your own blood and no other additive or medications, it is 100% natural. We use in a number of different applications from aesthetics for improving skin elasticity and firmness to sexual health challenges.

Facial Rejuvenation

The Vampire Facial, done with minimal discomfort, uses PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) by injecting it in areas of the face that tend to "age" faster than other areas. Underneath the eyes, around the lips, over the cheeks, and any scars such as old acne or chickenpox, will become more youthful naturally. We also will apply PRP and "push" it into the deep layers using a physician grade device known as "micro-needling". The results are unlike any other facial you've ever had! There is little to no "downtime" or discomfort, as opposed to harsh ablative lasers or chemical peels.
