The P-Shot® used for Peyronie’s Disease Treatment is effective. Platelet Rich Plasma is painlessly injected into the shaft and the results are amazing!
Peyronie’s Disease or PD occurs after trauma to the penile shaft, usually during intercourse. The shaft may be bent and this can tear the covering of one of the erectile bodies. When this tear “heals” a “scar” can form. The scar won’t then distend like the rest of the penis. This causes the penis to bend in the direction of the scar. In the “old” days we injected steroids and all sorts of things to try and soften it. But today, we have Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP (from your own body) that contains growth factors that can heal the body.
Injecting this PRP into the scar or plaque can demonstrably improve things. Injecting PRP this way is called the Priapus Shot® or P-Shot®. Depending on the severity, multiple P-Shots® may be needed. Everyone is different. Adding a penile pump during all of this has been shown to help as well and those instructions are on a separate template.
